Head YouTek Radical Lite

$200.00 Released August, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Lightweight Graphite frame. 16/19 string pattern for power/spin. Medium swing style.

The Head YouTek Radical Lite is a mid-plus sized tennis racquet which is a lighter and more powerful version of the YouTek Radical MP, tennis star Andy Murray's racquet of choice. Surface area is 105" which makes for a good sized sweet spot and the very lightweight hollow d3o composite frame make it well suited for players of smaller stature or beginners who need a powerful lightweight racquet.

Where to Buy

D3o is a material which becomes more turgid under stress, which means it senses the impact and responds with the appropriate rigidity. The string pattern is 16/19, meaning sixteen vertical strings crossed by nineteen horizontal strings. This gives more power and spin but less control and depth than 18/19 or 18/20 string patterned racquets, as well as having a shorter total usable life span due to more stress placed on fewer strings. For this racquet, Head recommends their own ETS string as a replacement, the racquet may also be purchased unstrung as well. Five different grip sizes are available and the only offered color is orange and black with a white HydroSorb grip.
