Babolat Y 118 Smart Kit

The Babolat Y 118 Smart Kit is a premier tennis racquet built for beginner and intermediate players at the 2.5 level and above. As a remake of the original Babolat Y 118, the 118 Smart Kit adds along Babolat’s Smart Grip, which is an ergonomic grip engineered to allow for a more fluidic and comfortable swing style.

Like its predecessor, the Smart Kit is long and lightweight, rendering it extremely maneuverable, in that it is fast and can quickly be positioned while volleying. And its signature component is Babolat’s Side Drivers technology, which delivers a stiffer construction by connecting the yoke and head—thereby resulting in optimized power and precision. Note also that the Smart Kit hosts a bi-material construction with high modulus graphite for the yoke (greater power) and crystal graphite for the head (torque resistance). Included also is a Cellular Grommet System with fully integrated 360-degree positioning, which creates a more consistent and balanced energy absorption at ball impact.
