Babolat AeroStorm
$185.00
Released September, 2009
The Pros:High degree of control, especially for experienced players. High potential to add spin to most shots. Increased serve velocity over some lower Babolat models.
The Cons:Backhand shots tend to be a bit inaccurate. Overall racquet stiffness may lead to pain in wrist/elbow for some users. Not terribly powerful, player must generate most of his/her own strength on shots.
The Babolat AeroStorm is a premier tennis racquet built for professionals at the 4.0+ level. It is a hybrid racquet that uses the AeroPro beam-design in the throat and the PureStorm beam-design in the hoop, allowing for superior control and feel combined with enhanced maneuverability.

Included also is Babolat’s Cortex System, which filters harmful vibrations created during ball impact—therefore resulting in a more dampened and comfortable feel when hitting the ball. Advanced players will be able to slice through the contact zone with ease. The AeroStorm also uses Babolat’s patented Woofer, which increases frame/string interaction during ball strike, therefore adding 25% more contact time between the ball and strings AND allowing for a greater generation of power, control, and spin. Two famous professional players who use the Babolat AeroPro Drive include Dinara Safina and Nadia Petrova.
