It was then later re-engineered in 2009 with the exact same specifications, save for the addition of Babolat’s Cortex System—which utilizes a Damping System to filter vibrations, thereby delivering a more solid feel at contact. Like its original, the AeroPro Drive utilizes an Aero-designed shaft with a Pure Drive head to output serious pop/spin potential suitable to power players seeking spin, pace, and accuracy. Included also is Babolat’s patented Woofer, which increases frame/string interaction during ball strike, therefore adding 25% more contact time between the ball and strings AND allowing for a greater generation of power, control, and spin. Two famous professional players who use the Babolat AeroPro Drive include Rafael Nadal and Caroline Wozniacki.
